Configuring the RTSP Streaming Link
Accessing and Configuring Your Camera's RTSP Link
Step-by-Step Guide
Access the RTSP Link
Open your camera’s mobile app.
Navigate to Settings → Local Application → RTSP.
Copy the RTSP streaming URL provided and save it securely for future reference.
Making Your RTSP Stream Accessible Externally
To view your camera's RTSP stream remotely, configure your network's router settings as follows:
Step 1: Find Your Camera’s Local IP Address
Check your camera app settings or your router's connected-device list (DHCP table) for the camera's IP address.
Step 2: Access Your Router’s Web Interface
Open a browser and enter your router’s IP address (commonly
192.168.1.1or192.168.0.1).If uncertain, consult your router’s manual or manufacturer's website.
Step 3: Log into the Router
Enter your router’s login credentials (username/password).
If unknown, refer to your router’s documentation or ISP support.
Step 4: Navigate to Port Forwarding Settings
Locate settings labeled "Port Forwarding," "Virtual Server," or similar in your router interface.
Step 5: Create a New Port Forwarding Rule Enter the following information clearly:
External Port: Select an available port (e.g., 558, 559, or 560). (Avoid port 554 as some networks restrict it.)
Internal IP Address: Enter your camera’s IP from Step 1.
Internal Port: Use the RTSP port for your camera (e.g., 558 or 559).
Protocol: TCP, UDP, or Both (depending on your camera’s specifications).
Step 6: Apply Changes
Save and apply settings. Reboot your router if necessary.
Step 7: Confirm Port Forwarding
Use a trusted online Port Checker tool to verify the port forwarding status.
Step 8: Identify Your Public IP
Visit What Is My IP from the same network as your camera to obtain your public IP address.
Step 9: Update RTSP URL for External Access
Replace the local IP in your RTSP URL with your public IP address: Example:
rtsp://admin:111111@your-public-ip-address:559/live/ch0
Dynamic DNS (DDNS) Setup (Optional, Recommended)
If your public IP frequently changes, setting up a Dynamic DNS ensures consistent access:
Register with a Dynamic DNS provider (e.g., No-IP).
Configure your router to sync automatically with the DDNS service. (Refer to provider instructions.)
Update your RTSP URL, replacing the public IP with your DDNS address: Example:
rtsp://admin:[email protected]:559/live/ch0
