Ensuring Node is Operational

Confirming your Fry Node is Working (Rewards Decentralization/ Storage Validator/ Storage Decentralization)

After setting up your Fry Node, follow these steps to ensure it is functioning properly:

Note About the User Interface (GUI)

Currently, there is no visual interface to indicate that your Fry Node is running. The only way to verify functionality is through the Proof of Connectivity (PoC) transactions sent every hour.

A GUI will be included in the next update, which will provide a more user-friendly way to monitor your node's status and activity.

Step 1 : Opt-In to fNODE and Fry 2.0 (Fry 2.0 is used if you want to verify the node for higher rewards)

• Open your Algorand wallet (e.g., Pera Wallet or Defly).

• Search for fNODE and Fry 2.0 tokens by their asset IDs.

  • FRY 2.0 ASA: 2485314946

  • fNODE ASA: 2485202024

• Complete the opt-in process to ensure your wallet can send PoC transactions.

Step 2 : Check Proof of Connectivity (PoC)

• Every hour, your node will send out a Proof of Connectivity (PoC) transaction.

• These transactions will appear in your wallet as 0.0 fNODE.

• Verify your wallet activity:

  • Open your wallet and look for hourly transactions of 0.0 fNODE sent from your node.

If these transactions are present, your node is operating correctly.

Manually Test PoC Transactions

If you want to manually verify that PoC is functioning:

1. Navigate to the Connectivity Validation folder :

• Storage Decentralization Node : C:/users/*yourusername*/Documents/Fry Storage Decentralization Node/Connectivity Validation/

• Rewards Decentralization Node : C:/users/*yourusername*/Documents/Fry Rewards Decentralization Node/Connectivity Validation/

• Storage Validator Node : C:/users/*yourusername*/Documents/Fry Storage Validator Node/Connectivity Validation/

1. Locate and double-click on POC.BAT

2. Check your wallet for a new 0.0 fNODE transaction :

If the transaction appears, your node is successfully sending PoC.

Troubleshooting Missing PoC Transactions

If you do not see PoC transactions in your wallet after one hour:

1. Confirm Token Opt-In

   • Double-check that you have opted into the fNODE token in your wallet.

2. Check Wallet Balance

   • Ensure you have at least 5 ALGO to cover transaction fees.

3. Review Node Status

   • Verify that your node is powered on and connected to the internet.

4. Inspect Configurations by navigating to the Connectivity Validation folder :

• Storage Decentralization Node : C:/users/*yourusername*/Documents/Fry Storage Decentralization Node/Connectivity Validation/

• Rewards Decentralization Node : C:/users/*yourusername*/Documents/Fry Rewards Decentralization Node/Connectivity Validation/

• Storage Validator Node : C:/users/*yourusername*/Documents/Fry Storage Validator Node/Connectivity Validation/

1. Open config.json and check your wallet seed phrase:

• Ensure there’s only one space between words and no extra characters like commas or symbols.

Still Not Working?

If you continue to experience issues, follow these additional steps:

1. Run the Installer Again

   • Locate the installer file you downloaded.

   • Run the installer, which will prompt you to uninstall the existing software as it is already installed.

   • Proceed with the uninstall process and then reinstall the software by running the installer file again.

2. Re-Enter Miner Keys and Passphrase

   • During reinstallation, carefully enter your miner keys and 25-word passphrase.

   • Ensure there are no typos, and each word has one space between with no extra characters.

3. Test PoC Again

   • After reinstalling, monitor your wallet activity for the next PoC transaction.

   • Alternatively, manually run the POC.BAT file in the Connectivity Validation folder to verify if 0.0 fNODE transactions are being sent.
