Troubleshooting
Follow these steps to resolve common connectivity issues with your Mini PC Miners.
Step 1: Update Your Software
Download the latest version for your type of miner from the following links:
Ensure you have at least 1-2 ALGO in your Proof of Connectivity (PoC) wallet to cover transaction fees.
Step 2: Uninstall Previous Software
Run the fryuninstaller file included in the download zip file.
Manually delete leftover files and folders:
Navigate to:
C:\Program Files
C:\Program Files (x86)
Delete any folders named Fry or SoftEther.
Go to:
C:\users\yourusername\Documents
Delete any folder named FRY.
Remove any leftover firewall rules:
Open Windows Defender Firewall:
Control Panel β System and Security β Windows Defender Firewall β Advanced Settings β Inbound Rules.
Delete all Fry VPN and SoftEther rules.
Step 3: Reinstall the Software
Run the fryinstaller after cleaning up the old installation.
If you encounter any errors during the process:
Run the fryuninstaller again.
Reinstall using the fryinstaller.
Step 4: Update Node.js
If issues persist:
Uninstall your current version of Node.js.
Download and install Node.js v18.20 from the Node.js Downloads page.
Reinstall the software using the fryinstaller you just downloaded in step 1.
Step 5: Check if Proof of Connectivity (PoC) is Working
Navigate to:
Documents/Fry .../JavaScript/Connectivity Validation/
.Run the POC.BAT file by double-clicking it.
Check your wallet activity:
Look for 0.0 FRY transactions in your wallet activity. If these transactions appear, your PoC is working correctly.
Step 6: If PoC Still Isnβt Working
If no transactions show up in your wallet activity and:
You have enough ALGO in your wallet.
You have opted into the FRY token.
Follow these steps:
Go to:
Documents/Fry β¦ /JavaScript/Connectivity Validation
.Right-click on config.json and open it with Notepad.
Verify your wallet seed phrase:
Ensure there is only ONE space between words.
Remove any extra characters like commas, periods, or other symbols.
